Five-gas mixtures

Product information "Five-gas mixtures"

Clear Five Channels Simultaneously and Banish the Invisible Threat of CO2

You are preparing to enter a deep pump sump. Down at the bottom of the shaft, an invisible danger lurks: beneath the mirror-smooth surface of the wastewater, fermentation is taking place. Biological decomposition processes have displaced the oxygen and formed carbon dioxide (CO2). A standard four-gas detector remains silent in the face of this deadly hazard because it lacks the appropriate sensor. Before descending, occupational safety regulations therefore require a clearance measurement using a five-gas device – including the mandatory functional test according to DGUV.

The time-consuming application of individual gases one after the other is completely eliminated. As soon as you place your five-channel detector into the automatic test station, the five-gas mixture flows into the measuring cells in parallel. All five channels react simultaneously. The target concentrations for methane (CH4), oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and carbon dioxide (CO2) stabilize on the display within seconds. The control LED jumps to green, and the test log is immediately available electronically. Your employees descend into the deep sewer with the peace of mind of fully functioning sensor technology.

With such a complex five-fold mixture, stability is everything. The sensitive hydrogen sulfide (H2S) component degrades quickly on the inner walls of conventional containers, which is why every ALLCAN cylinder leaves the factory freshly filled. This ensures the concentration remains stable down to the very last bar. The enclosed filling certificate documents this quality status in black and white for your internal safety audits.

Out on the construction site, every kilogram counts in the service vehicle anyway. The compact aluminum cylinders weigh between one and two kilograms, allowing them to be stored within arm's reach in the test case without weighing down the load. Depending on your monthly testing volume, simply choose between the three available gas volumes of 34, 60, or 112 liters in the selection menu.

As soon as the cylinder is empty, take advantage of our return system. Use the complimentary VentCaps to completely depressurize the valve for the return transport. You can send the cylinder back to our warehouse without expensive hazardous goods surcharges. Together with our partner WERKVOLL, these are turned into high-quality home accessories.

Corrosion-Resistant Regulating Technology for Highly Reactive Mixtures

Loss-Free Gas Supply from the Cylinder Thread to the Test Station

Only with the precisely matched accessories does the five-gas mixture become a deployment-ready testing unit. You screw the demand regulator onto the manufactured cylinder thread. The gas-tight Viton hose guides the calibration gas to the sensors of your detector or into the automatic test station without any loss or alteration from ambient air.

When transporting equipment on an open truck bed or in a fully packed workshop vehicle, vibrations are a daily occurrence. The impact-resistant system case keeps the entire set of equipment firmly in place and prevents transport damage in the cargo area. During tough outdoor use in trenches, the carrying bag protects the cylinder from infiltrating mud and hard impacts. After completing the clearance measurement, the aluminum cylinder stores within arm's reach in the steel wall bracket in your workshop.

Configure your five-gas mixture in the selection menu now and keep your gas detectors reliably and legally ready for deployment.

The AIG-105 sampling regulator or pressure reducer is optimally designed for our test gas cylinders and is freely adjustable, allowing you to variably adjust the flow rate of your test gas – from 0.5 l/min to 1.5 l/min, just as you need it. The AIG-105 is available in two versions: Type A and Type B. Type A has a 1/6-inch thread and fits our 12 l ALLCAN test gas cylinders. Type B, with its 1/4-inch thread, is suitable for the other test gas cylinder sizes of 34 l, 60 l, and 112 l. In addition to a pressure gauge, the test gas sampling regulator features an acrylic flow meter that allows you to monitor the flow. Both sampling regulator types are made of brass and are suitable for non-reactive gases. The AIG-105 can also be used with hydrogen sulfide or sulfur dioxide test gas.

However, if you require a pressure regulator that will be used in contact with reactive or corrosive gases such as nitrogen dioxide (NO2), hydrogen chloride (HCL), ammonia (NH3), phosphine (PH3), silane (SiH4), or hydrogen cyanide (HCN), we recommend a stainless steel one, such as the AIG-100 with a fixed flow rate or the AIG-104, which can be adjusted in 0.5-liter increments.
