Four-gas mixtures

Product information "Four-gas mixtures"

Test the Function of Four Sensors Simultaneously in a Direct Gas Flow

During a shift handover, seamless operational readiness is what counts. The DGUV requires confirmation of your gas detectors' function before every deployment. Anyone who still applies individual gases one after the other loses valuable minutes that will be missed in a subsequent emergency. Thanks to parallel testing, your devices are ready for action in the vehicle before the digital pager even triggers.

As soon as you place your multi-gas detector into the automatic test station, the gas mixture flows into the measuring cells synchronously. Instead of waiting for values one after the other, all four channels react simultaneously. The target concentrations for methane (CH4), oxygen (O2), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) stabilize on the display within seconds. The control LED jumps to green, and the legally compliant test log is immediately available electronically. Your crews head out to hazardous materials or firefighting operations with the certainty of functioning sensor technology.

Particularly with four-gas mixtures, the hydrogen sulfide (H2S) component is highly sensitive to incorrect storage, as the gas degrades on the inner walls of conventional containers. Every ALLCAN cylinder leaves the factory freshly filled. The concentration remains exactly on point down to the very last bar. The enclosed filling certificate documents this quality status for seamless testing in your respiratory protection workshop.

When transporting equipment in a fully packed equipment vehicle, robustness and a small footprint are what matter. The compact aluminum cylinders weigh between one and two kilograms and store within arm's reach in the equipment compartment or test case. Depending on your fire department's testing volume, you can choose between the three available gas volumes of 34, 60, or 112 liters in the selection menu.

As soon as the cylinder is empty, take advantage of our return system. Secure the valve for transport back to us using the complimentary VentCaps. You can send the cylinder to us via standard shipping without expensive hazardous goods surcharges. Together with our partner WERKVOLL, we return the aluminum to the recycling loop: high-quality home accessories are created from the recycled material.

These Four-Gas Compositions Are Ready for Your Measurements

You determine the exact four-gas combination for your specific testing cycle in the selection menu:

Controlled Gas Flow from the Cylinder Valve to the Measuring Cell

Only with the precisely matched accessories does the four-gas mixture become a deployment-ready testing unit. You screw the demand regulator directly onto the precisely manufactured cylinder thread. The gas-tight Viton hose guides the calibration gas to the sensors of your detector or into the automatic test station without any loss or alteration from ambient air.

When heading out on a run with flashing blue lights, things can get chaotic inside the emergency vehicle. The impact-resistant system case secures the entire set of equipment in the cargo area to prevent slipping. Directly at the shaft or measuring site, the robust carrying bag keeps mud and impacts away from the pressure vessel. After deployment, the aluminum cylinder clicks into place within arm's reach in the steel wall bracket in your respiratory protection workshop.

The AIG-105 sampling regulator or pressure reducer is optimally designed for our test gas cylinders and is freely adjustable, allowing you to variably adjust the flow rate of your test gas – from 0.5 l/min to 1.5 l/min, just as you need it. The AIG-105 is available in two versions: Type A and Type B. Type A has a 1/6-inch thread and fits our 12 l ALLCAN test gas cylinders. Type B, with its 1/4-inch thread, is suitable for the other test gas cylinder sizes of 34 l, 60 l, and 112 l. In addition to a pressure gauge, the test gas sampling regulator features an acrylic flow meter that allows you to monitor the flow. Both sampling regulator types are made of brass and are suitable for non-reactive gases. The AIG-105 can also be used with hydrogen sulfide or sulfur dioxide test gas.

However, if you require a pressure regulator that will be used in contact with reactive or corrosive gases such as nitrogen dioxide (NO2), hydrogen chloride (HCL), ammonia (NH3), phosphine (PH3), silane (SiH4), or hydrogen cyanide (HCN), we recommend a stainless steel one, such as the AIG-100 with a fixed flow rate or the AIG-104, which can be adjusted in 0.5-liter increments.
