Two-gas mixtures

Product information "Two-gas mixtures"

The Shaft Is Open – Your Bump Test Is Ready in 60 Seconds

The manhole cover is off to the side, the tools are laid out. But before entering the shaft or starting equipment maintenance, occupational safety regulations require a functional test. In the workshop, a common issue often arises: while three channels of your gas detector are perfectly calibrated, a single sensor—such as the sensitive hydrogen sulfide channel needed for sewer deployment—is drifting.

Deploying a large multi-gas mixture now would be a complete waste. For a targeted single-channel calibration, simply connect your detector to the matching ALLCAN cylinder and open the regulator. The binary calibration gas, consisting of the target component and carrier gas, flows into the measuring cell in an precisely dosed stream. The sensor reacts immediately, the display jumps to green, and the operational readiness for this specific channel is legally and securely confirmed.

Whether you are readjusting the H2S sensor for civil engineering, checking the carbon monoxide probe in heating technology, or calibrating stationary warning systems in industrial facilities – the reliable concentration of our two-component calibration gases ensures accurate readings in every area of application.

For a quick check in the field, the compact 12-liter ALLCAN fits into your tool bag as a true lightweight. For larger testing series in the workshop, you can opt for the 34, 60, or 112-liter variants. Weighing just one to two kilograms, the aluminum cylinders store within arm's reach in your service vehicle, keeping one hand completely free while measuring on-site.

Every cylinder leaves the factory freshly filled. A precise filling certificate accompanies every delivery to ensure your calibration succeeds on the first attempt. Once the cylinder is empty, simply screw our complimentary VentCaps onto the valve. This completely depressurizes the cylinder, allowing you to return it to us effortlessly via standard shipping as a Limited Quantity (LQ) package—without expensive hazardous goods surcharges. Our partner WERKVOLL recycles the aluminum to create high-quality designer lamps.

Aggressive Gases Destroy Standard Regulators – Rely on Corrosion-Resistant Materials

Only the right tool makes your ALLCAN cylinder ready for action. You screw the demand regulator directly onto the cylinder thread.

Let's be honest: relying on standard brass regulators for reactive gases like chlorine (Cl2) or ammonia (NH3) compromises the calibration from the very start. It's like math class back in school: if you mess up the calculation path in the first line, you'll be calculating with the wrong figures until the end—and even error-free steps later down the line won't save the final result. The aggressive gas reacts with the metallic inner wall of the regulator and deposits itself there. Consequently, only a fraction of the actual concentration ever reaches your device's sensor. Unknowingly, you calibrate the gas detector to be far too insensitive. In a real-world scenario, the alarm will trigger much too late—or not at all.

For these highly reactive specialty gases, use our corrosion-resistant stainless steel regulators and chemically inert PTFE lines. For less reactive standard gases, a flexible Viton hose is perfectly sufficient to guide the precisely dosed mixture into the calibration cap.

The impact-resistant system case protects your equipment on the way to the measuring site, while the weatherproof carrying bag secures your ALLCAN in the service vehicle during transit. In the workshop, you can organize your cylinders cleanly with the steel wall bracket.

AIG-105
AIG-105

  1. Type B
  2. Type A
  3. Brass
  4. New

The AIG-105 sampling regulator or pressure reducer is optimally designed for our test gas cylinders and is freely adjustable, allowing you to variably adjust the flow rate of your test gas – from 0.5 l/min to 1.5 l/min, just as you need it. The AIG-105 is available in two versions: Type A and Type B. Type A has a 1/6-inch thread and fits our 12 l ALLCAN test gas cylinders. Type B, with its 1/4-inch thread, is suitable for the other test gas cylinder sizes of 34 l, 60 l, and 112 l. In addition to a pressure gauge, the test gas sampling regulator features an acrylic flow meter that allows you to monitor the flow. Both sampling regulator types are made of brass and are suitable for non-reactive gases. The AIG-105 can also be used with hydrogen sulfide or sulfur dioxide test gas.

However, if you require a pressure regulator that will be used in contact with reactive or corrosive gases such as nitrogen dioxide (NO2), hydrogen chloride (HCL), ammonia (NH3), phosphine (PH3), silane (SiH4), or hydrogen cyanide (HCN), we recommend a stainless steel one, such as the AIG-100 with a fixed flow rate or the AIG-104, which can be adjusted in 0.5-liter increments.
